Physical Prototyping / Visual Programming at Hyper Island

Physical, Web, Web Audio, WebGL, Workshop

During various workshops since 2015 I taught how to bring quick physical prototypes to life using microcontrollers like Arduino and Particle Photon equipped with sensors and actuators, how to connect them to the internet using protocols like MQTT, and how to visualize their data using creative programming environments like Processing.

In later workshops, as part of undev, I introduced visual programming using the web-based WebGL / Web Audio development environment cables, which we develop at undev. The participants learned how to create interactive audio-visual experiences for mobile and desktop devices, as well as integrating cables into sensorial exhibition projects.
